Joe Hunt is the husband of Lori (Undercoffler) Hunt and they have three sons, Evan John, Seth Thomas & Eli Kyle.
He attended Penn State University and earned an Associates degree in Surveying Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering Technology. He is a registered Professional Land Surveyor and Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and New York State. Joe also is certified by Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection as a Sewage Enforcement Officer, a Sewage Treatment Plant operator and has been qualified as a Stormwater Management consultant. He is a member of the Association of Christian Design Professionals, National Society of Professional Engineers and the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors.
Prior to his professional experience, Joe spent two years working for an excavating contractor operating heavy equipment. He has fourteen years of professional experience in the expanding suburbs of Philadelphia performing boundary and topographic surveying, civil and environmental engineering, construction inspection and management. The bulk of his design experience is designing post construction stormwater Best Management Practices (BMP’s), Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control BMP’S, public sewer utilities, wastewater treatment plants, Act 537 sewage facilities planning, NPDES and Part II water quality permitting, sanitary sewage pumping stations, septic system design and drip and spray irrigation effluent disposal systems.
Before this business, Joe was Vice President and Manager of Land Development Services with Yerkes Associates, Inc, a 50-person firm with headquarters located in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Joe spent eleven years in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and was honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant in November 2003. He served for eight months in Germany as part of Operation Enduring Freedom shortly after September 11, 2001.
Joe and his wife Lori have accepted a calling to serve Jesus Christ in the local church and with Engineering Ministries International (eMi). eMi is a non-profit Christian development organization made up of architects, engineers and design professionals who donate their skills to help children and families around the world step out of poverty and into a world of hope.
